Carmela Garcia, a 5’ 7” freshman point guard, from Miles Community College, has been selected the women’s player of the week. In two conference wins for the Pioneers, while shooting 79% from the field and playing 38 minutes, she scored 31 points, had 2 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. Carmela is from Madrid, Spain, and she attended IES Gerardo Diego High School.
