Northeast women edge Lake Region State
WAHPETON, N.D. – The Northeast Community College women’s basketball team (6-0) narrowly defeated Lake Region State College on Friday, 55-52 at the AmericInn Classic in Wahpeton, N.D.

Despite being held to only nine points in the fourth quarter, the Hawks managed to keep pace with the Royals to grab their sixth victory of the season. Each team scored 17 points in the third quarter, but it was Northeast that took a slight lead heading into halftime, 29-25.
Kyla Moore (Norfolk, Neb.) led the Hawks with 15 points, nine rebounds and six steals. Emina Hadzihusejnovic (Mostar, Bosnia) added 12 points and six boards. The Hawks shot 40 percent from the field in the contest.
The Hawks are scheduled to play North Dakota State College of Science at 3 p.m. tomorrow in Wahpeton.
