Royals Volleyball Struggle in Recent Games

The LRSC Volleyball team just passed the mid point of their season.

February 6th at Dawson Community College - Lost 3-0. Tangi Jenson had 20 Assists. Jensen Gabora had 14 digs. Jadaeya Morrell 6 kills and Mardi Scutchings 8 kills.

February 20th vs. Miles Community College - Lost 3-1. Latasha Bellile had 16 digs. Mardi Scutchings had 15 digs and 19 kills. Tangi Jenson had 33 assists.

February 24th vs. NDSCS - Lost 3-0. The Wildcats are currenlty #11 in the NJCAA Division 2 volleyball polls. Bella Hone had 10 Kills. Tangi Jenson had 21 Assists. Jenson Gabora had 14 digs.

February 26th vs. Dawson Community College - Lost 3-0. Latasha Bellile 6 Kills. Samantha Overend 5 kills. Tangi Jenson 18 Assists. Jenson Gabora 16 digs.

February 27th vs. Dawson Community College - Lost 3-0. Mardi Scutchings 11 kills and Jadaeya Morrell with 10 kills. Tangi Jenson with 31 assists. Jenson Gabora 25 digs.

Head Coach Steve Waddell said this, "We are at a tough point in our schedule right now. The team continues to play hard and battle. We have just struggled with consistency. Part of that is our of our control we have had some injuires and players in and out of the lineup. Part of that is on us. Sometimes we get out to slow starts. Then we have to battle back out of the hole we have dug ourselves. Or we get out to a great start but can't finish sets. We are right there in a lot of sets, as a team we just need to find a way to get over the hump."

The Royals (1-9) are home Tuesday, March 2nd vs. Williston State. The game will be played at 5pm at Sweetwater Elementary.
