Volleyball: Central Triangular Recap

The Central Community College volleyball team lost both matches in a triangular at the Raider Fieldhouse on Friday. A brief recap of each match is below. CCC is 8-14 on the season and will return to play on Tuesday at home against North Platte Community College. The Raiders and the Knights will battle at 7 p.m. at the Raider Fieldhouse.

Match 1 vs. Bismarck State College

The Mystics defeated the Raiders, 3-1. The teams swapped victories in the first two games with Bismarck taking the first set, 25-20, followed by CCC winning the second, 25-23. The Mystics won the match with 25-19 and 25-21 wins in the third and fourth games.

Ashley Brown and Josie Richards each totaled 13 kills, while Kamryn Chohon finished with 40 assists and 19 digs.

Match 2 vs. Northeast Community College

The Hawks shut out the Raiders, 3-0, by the final scores of 25-21, 25-15 and 25-22.

Morgan Juranek led CCC in kills with 10, while Chohon dished out 28 assists. Brown, Chohon and Richards each finished with 12 digs.
