Pressure Pushes Royals Past UTTC

Worley finished the game with 19 points on 7 of 15 shooting and 14 rebounds and Pollert had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Royals who only led by three after the first period, slowly increased their lead in the second. A Hailey Hewitt 3 with 6:05 left in the second gave the Royals a 10 point lead in which they added on, leading by as many as 22 in the third quarter.
Kayla Bryne finished the game with 13 points for the Royals (13-9, 3-2 MonDak) who out rebounded the Thunderbirds 55-37. The Royals was 19-for-33 from the free-throw line.
The win snapped a two game losing streak for the Royals.
Four players scored in double figures for the Thunderbirds, led by LaTosha Thunderhawk's 17 points and 10 rebounds. Karissa DuShane scored 16 points and had 10 assists and Hannah Golus had 14 points as UTTC fell to 7-11 overall and 1-4 in the conference.
Three of the four leading scorers for the Thunderbirds fouled out.
