Mayville Outmatched by Royals

On a night when very little went wrong for the Royals, Mayville JV was outmatched by the home team.

Lake Region State College put 54 points on the board in the first half. They would shoot 47% from the field and 31% from three on their way to putting up 100 points on the board. The defensive effort picked up a notch in the second half as the Royals hounded the Comets into 19 TO's and held them to 26 second half points. The Final LRSC 100 Mayville JV 58. On a night when everyone played and everyone scored Zac Olson would lead with 13pts. Lamarr Wood would put up a 12pts 11reb double double.

Head Coach Jared Marshall said, "This was a solid overall effort by the team. We had contributions from top to bottom tonight. Holding them to 58 total points and dominating the rebounding battle 58-25 was what made me happy."

The Royals are back in action this weekend with a road trip to Gillette, WY where they will take on Gillette and Casper.
