BSC Too Much for LRSC

The Lake Region State College Royals Volleyball team traveled to Bismarck, ND on Wednesday September 25th, to take on the 19th ranked Bismarck State College Mystics.

Both teams were looking to bounce back from a previous loss. The Mystics at the hands of the NDSCS Wildcats and the Royals to the DCTC Blue Knights. In the opening set LRSC would give the #19 team everything they could handle pushing it to the very end. They would fall short however losing the set 23-25. Again, Lake Region would test BSC but never overtake them, falling 25-19. The third set would be all BSC as the home court advantage would start to show. It would be all Mystics winning 15-25 over the Royals to take the match 3-0.

Rachel Hill would notch 26 assists throughout the match, Fabianne Besosa would clock 17 digs and Sydney Hertlein would have a solid match.

Head Coach Brigitte Greywater would say after the match, "As a coach you are never big on moral victories but tonight I saw some things to be very proud of. We took the number nineteen team in the nation to the brink multiple times. A few girls stepped up and had big games playing their best volleyball. We have a lot of home games coming up in October. Our hope is that we can go on a run and get a little momentum heading into the playoffs."

LRSC is now 6-15 (1-4) on the year. They will play NDSCS on Wednesday, August 2nd at 7pm. The theme will be a white out!
