Royals Fall In Final Game of Regular Season

On Sunday, October 28th the Royals Volleyball team traveled to Wahpeton, ND to take on the North Dakota State College of Science Wildcats in their final game of the regular season.

Heading into the final game of the regular season, having won eight of their last twelve, the Royals Volleyball team was feeling pretty good about where they were sitting. It showed up in the first set when they were able to jump out to an early lead and win the set 25-20. The Wildcats would rally and win set two 25-17. In the third set, the Royals would strike early gaining a 6-1 lead. NDSCS would make a run of their own. With the set all knotted up at 24 apiece, the Wildcats would prevail 27-25 in the third set. That proved to be the difference as LRSC would come out flat in set four and fall 25-13, losing the match 3-1.

Head Coach Brigitte Greywater said this after the game, "We played hard. As a team we came out and had a great start, now we just need to finish all the way through."

The Royals finish the season 13-21 (4-8) with post season play to be determined.
