Wildcats end road trip 4-0
Dawson, MT – NDSCS Men's Basketball came out to a 90-77 Mon-Dak Athletic Conference victory over Dawson Community College Monday night. The Wildcats moved to 15-1 in league play on the year at 24-1 overall this season.
Sophomore Aaron Williams Jr (Missouri City, TX) poured in a game-high 25 points to lead 7 different players in the scoring column while contributing a two assists. Sophomore Ben Fort (Columbus, OH) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds while Peyton Newbern (New Hope, MN) added 16 points on 5-12 shooting to go along with four rebounds and assists.
Detavius Frierson (Minneapolis, MN) tallied 14 points and a game-high 8 rebounds.
As a team, the Wildcats connected on 30-64 field goals, including 9-21 from three-point range, the team's eigth contest making at least 40.0 percent of its long-range shots. The Wildcats also shot 72.4 percent from the free throw line.
The Wildcats saw a dominant night on the glass with a 48-34 edge in the rebounding battle while holding the Bucs to just 5-28 from three-point range, including 3-13 in the second half alone.
The Wildcats have some time off, then are back home this Sunday (2/11) against Lake Reigon.
