Wildcats Handle Mystics at Home

The Wildcats handled Bismarck State at home Thursday night, defeating the Mystics 108-70.

After a slow first couple of minutes, hot shooting and great ball movement allowed the Wildcats to tie their season high for points scored in a game. The Wildcats recorded a 24 to 11 assist to turnover ratio, led by Gare Ewefada and Duoth Gach's seven and six assists. NDSCS also disrupted the BSC offense, jumping passing lanes and getting deflections to turn the Mystics over 22 times.

Four Cats scored in double figures. Noble Cooper had an efficient night from the floor scoring 27 points on just 13 shots, while burying five triples. Gare Ewefada finished with 22 points to go along with his seven assists and four steals. Gach scored 16 and Oman Oman added 13. The Wildcats were scorching hot from the field shooting 55.7% and 51.5% from three point land. NDSCS also made 13 of its 14 free throw attempts.

With the win, the Wildcats improve to 23-4 overall and 9-2 in the Mon-Dak Conference. Up next, the Cats will finish conference play with three straight road contests, starting with United Tribes on Monday the 18th. Tip off is set for 7:30 pm.
